Bonnie is the visionary leader behind Avalon Realty & Oaktree Management which she founded in 1993 with a mission to provide out-of-state property owners – many of whom were based in California – a trusted partner in Las Vegas. To this day, the majority of Avalon’s clients are still from out of state, relaying on Bonnie and her team to expertly manage their properties with transparency and care. What sets Bonnie apart is her refusal to settle for the status quo. She is constantly learning, staying ahead of the curve by collaborating with other property managers nationwide, attending industry conferences and implementing new services and solutions to add value for property owners and enhance the experience of tenants.
Personal background: Bonnie was born and raised in Southern California before moving to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula for high school. She later attended BYU and transferred to UNLV in her junior year to pursue studies in psychology and public relations. Bonnie’s journey in Las Vegas began with a bold leap of faith at just 19 years old, arriving with no friends or family. Her first job was at Circus-Circus working in the kids’ games. She quickly transitioned to the hotel-casino industry, where she built a career spanning years before finding her true passion in Real Estate. Bonnie calls Las Vegas the City of Opportunity, a testament to her own story of resilience, hard work and success.

Laura brings strategic leadership and staffing expertise to Avalon Realty & Oaktree Management. As co-owner of the company, she plays a vital role in aligning team goals with company objectives and ensuring top-tier property management services in Las Vegas. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and over 17 years of experience as a Nevada Broker-Salesman (since 2006) and Permitted Property Manager (since 2009), Laura is a trusted resource for clients. She excels in buying and selling properties for investors and maintains strong client relationships. Laura is also a licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of Montana.
Personal background: Laura was born and raised in Yonkers, New York before moving to Las Vegas with her family in her 20’s. She began her career as a bank auditor with Citibank, a role that she enjoyed for 10 years both in Las Vegas and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. After returning to Las Vegas to care for her mother, Laura transitioned into a leadership role at State Wide Fire Protection where she spent 8 years managing OSHA training for 150 sprinkler fitters, overseeing payroll and coordinating drug testing programs. Her efforts were solely responsible for collecting millions of dollars owed to the company, showcasing her expertise in operations and compliance. As a certified Range Master with a passion for shooting, Laura has honed her skills since her late teens. She loves cars, dogs and hosting dinners with friends.

Lori has been an integral part of our team since 2010, starting as a field inspector responsible for performing move-out and move-in property condition reports. She later took on the role of maintenance coordinator, managing turnovers between tenancies, overseeing repairs and improvements and ensuring security deposit dispositions were handled accurately and in compliance with Nevada State Law. Lori’s keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills have earned her the trust of tenants, vendors and property owners. She likely holds the record for speaking to the most tenants over the years! In 2024 Lori was promoted to Office Manager, where she continues to excel as the primary point of contact.
Personal background – Born and raised in South Plainfield, New Jersey, Lori moved to Las Vegas in 2007 to be closer to her sister. Lori is a devoted mother to her daughter and pack of six senior rescue dogs with special needs – those with “one eye, gimpy legs” and big hearts. Her nurturing spirit extends beyond her home; she was also a foster mother to five children. Outside of work, Lori loves motorcycles, music, and enjoying good wine. Known for her even-tempered nature, Lori is the kind of person everyone wants to meet and work with.

Nicole oversees the accounting department, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. She handles the timely processing of rental payments, facilitates ACH distribution to clients, and prepares documentation for eviction notices in collaboration with Licensed Process Servers. When necessary, Nicole also works with collection attorneys to address delinquent accounts. Additionally, Nicole oversees the Lease Renewal Team, updating software records to reflect new lease terms, rent amounts, and other critical changes as leases are signed. Her attention to detail and organizational skills keeps everything running efficiently.
Personal background – Born in Salt Lake City, Nicole moved to San Luis Obispo County as a child, quickly developing a deep love for the ocean and spending time on the beach. After graduating high school, she earned her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license and worked closely with elderly patients suffering from Alzheimer’s, dementia and those in hospice care. Nicole found great fulfillment in building relationships and providing support to seniors often without family. Nicole is a proud mother of three sons, channeling the same commitment and attentiveness she brings to her family into her role at Avalon Realty & Oaktree Management. After moving to Las Vegas in 2015, she became a vital part of the team in October 2020, consistently demonstrating her expertise and work ethic in everything she does.

Kristen plays a vital role in managing invoicing and bill payments, including HOA dues, sewer, trash, taxes and insurance. She ensures that vendor invoices and monthly statements are accurately uploaded to the online owner portal for easy access. When a new property owner joins, Kristen oversees the onboarding process, including sending contracts and addendums via DocuSign for electronic signatures. She reviews all the forms to be sure they are complete. Kristen notifies your HOA that we are your property management company and requests any “courtesy violation” notices be sent to us for speedy handling. She also contacts your insurance company and requests they add us as “additional insured”. Once it has been verified the property is ready to be marketed, she schedules the professional video photography which may include drone, 3-D and “dollhouse.” Kristen’s exceptional organization and attention to detail ensure every property transition is seamless.
Born and raised in San Luis Obispo CA, Kristen developed a love for the outdoors and cherishes time spent with her family. After graduating high school, she gained valuable leadership experience as a manager for Pier 1 Imports, a role she held for 7 years. A dedicated mother of 2 beautiful children, Kristen relocated to Las Vegas in early 2023 and quickly became a valued member of our team in April of 2023. We are thrilled to have her on board.

Brent serves as our Senior inspector, conducting detailed initial inspections for new accounts and thorough move-out inspections. These inspections can take between 2 and 5 hours to complete. His meticulous process includes capturing hundreds of photographs to document the property’s condition and identify necessary repairs and updates. For vacant properties, Brent also performs a “wellness check” to ensure everything is secure and in order if a home has been vacant for more than 30 days. With experience in the field since 2013, Brent relocated to Las Vegas from Orange County in 2018, bringing invaluable expertise to our team.
Brent was born and raised on a farm in central Iowa, where he learned the construction trade firsthand from his grandfather, a building contractor. A former defensive lineman for the Iowa State University Cyclone Football Team, Brent initially pursued a career in accounting but quickly realized his passion lay elsewhere. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to own a restaurant and later many successful businesses. He moved to Southern California, became a licensed contractor, and spent 15 years with Warner Music Group, gaining broad experience in operations. Brent’s deep knowledge of property management began in 2013, and as a rental property owner himself, he brings both professional and personal insight to his role. After owning a second home in Las Vegas for over 10 years, Brent decided to become a full-time resident in 2018. We’re fortunate to have his expertise and dedication on our team.

Melissa plays a key role as our outside field inspector, conducting ongoing “short” inspections throughout the year on all occupied properties, including specialized pet inspections. Her thorough reports provide our clients with a clear understanding of their property’s condition, such as:
*Maintenance or repair issues that need immediate attention
*Cleanliness and overall property upkeep
*Unauthorized pets or tenant-caused damages
Melissa also recommends upgrades or improvements to maintain and enhance the property’s value. By providing actionable insights, she helps ensure our clients’ assets are well maintained. Melissa collaborates with Brent and assists with other inspections as needed.
In Melissa’s own words: Since joining the Avalon Team, I couldn’t be happier with this opportunity. I conduct Short Inspections and enjoy meeting new people every day. I was born in Kansas City, MO. (Go Chiefs!) and moved to Las Vegas in 1989. I am a proud mother of twins who are the absolute loves of my life! My Italian heritage inspires my love for cooking, and I cherish time spent with my family and helping others.

Deborah is known for her exceptional customer service and technical expertise, ensuring the lease renewal process is smooth and stress-free for both the property owners and tenants. Her responsibilities include:
*Notifying clients of upcoming renewals
*Providing rent suggestions based on current market trends
*Sending lease renewal offers to tenants.
As part of the renewal process, Debbie also collects updated tenant details through a short form application, including employment information, household size and pet data. She manages updated pet applications through a third-party provider to ensure compliance and accuracy. Additionally, Debbie oversees the Air Filter Delivery Program for our residents.
Originally from Guatemala City, Debbie is a dedicated professional, loving wife and a proud mother of a beautiful baby girl. Currently pursuing a law degree while working full-time – she exemplifies ambition, balance and hard work. An animal lover who values family above all, Debbie brings a warm smile and a positive attitude to every interaction. Her commitment to providing excellent experiences for clients makes her an essential part of our team.

Julia joined the Avalon team three years ago after gaining over five years of customer service experience. Originally hired as the Broker’s Assistant, Julia quickly demonstrated her organizational and diplomatic communication skills. Eager to learn more about property management, Julia expanded her role by taking on special projects, including learning the Lead Simple Program and supporting the team with property transitions. Her dedication and growth led to her current position as Lease Renewal Assistant Manager, where she works closely with tenants and owners to ensure smooth, efficient lease renewals. Julia is fully bilingual in English and Spanish, making her an invaluable resource for our diverse client base. Born and raised in Guatemala City, Julia enjoys the great outdoors and finds joy in hiking and visiting parks and lakes. She is passionate about traveling, meeting new people and exploring new opportunities.
Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Julia exemplifies determination and drive. An animal lover at heart, she dedicates time to rescuing animals and helping them find their forever homes. Her long-term dream is to open a coffee shop—a vision fueled by her love of coffee and her unstoppable work ethic. Spending time with her family remains Julia’s greatest joy, and with her positivity and dedication, we have no doubt that her dreams will come true!

Gabi plays a pivotal role in ensuring that tenants and property owners experience a smooth and professional leasing process. She is responsible for processing all rental applications, which includes a comprehensive review of credit reports (with FICO scores), national eviction searches and criminal background checks. Gabi personally verifies each applicant’s employment and tenant history, ensuring that only the most reliable tenants are approved. Once applications are approved, Gabi promptly notifies tenants and ensures they sign their leases within two business days to secure their rental. She also prepares the leases and addendums, creating a binding agreement that protects the interest of both the property owner and the tenant.
In addition to her application processing duties, Gabi manages advertising for vacant properties, helping attract high-quality tenants while keeping vacancy rates low. While a property is vacant, Gabi provides regular updates, including details on showings, agent feedback, and market suggestions such as price changes to expedite the leasing process.
Originally from Southern California, Gabi’s journey to Las Vegas reflects her adaptability, drive and passion for helping others. After high school, she worked as a medical assistant, showcasing her commitment to service and care early in her career. Now a valued member of the Avalon team, Gabi’s curiosity to learn more about the industry along with her infectious energy and bubbly spirit is an asset to our team, clients and tenants.

Gina plays a crucial role as the First Impression you meet when visiting our office. Her bright smile and upbeat personality bring joy to everyone who enters. Gina’s bilingual gifts allow her to help any tenant who comes into the office or over the phone. She also creates beautiful welcome baskets for new tenants, ensuring a warm start to their leasing experience. Very importantly in her role as HOA Violations Coordinator, Gina ensures HOA compliance by:
*Handling dozens of HOA courtesy violation notices monthly
*Communicating promptly with tenants and HOAs to resolve issues efficiently
*Providing photographs and documentation to address violations and avoid potential fines.
Personal background: Gina was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, until moving to Las Vegas at age 13. She has proudly called Las Vegas home for the past 21 years. A loving mother of two, Gina’s favorite pastime is exploring new desserts with her kids. Known for her kind and humble nature, Gina loves to learn new things, share laughter and spread joy wherever she goes. Whether she’s creating arts and crafts or running through hallways with her playful energy, Gina’s warmth and laughter make her a delight to be around.

Robin’s attention to detail and ability to manage multiple vendors and tasks ensure properties stay well maintained, reflecting her commitment to excellence.
Personal background – Robin is passionate about making a positive impact in her community. As a volunteer cheer coordinator and an active participant in the Donor Network, Robin dedicates her time to nurturing young minds and supporting causes that matter. Her journey highlights a strong commitment to education, service and creating meaningful change in the lives of others. Whether she’s coordinating maintenance for clients or volunteering in the community, Robin’s dedication and reliability shine through in everything she does.

Ryan oversees maintenance operations for the El Sol and Mesa Ridge communities, both consisting of 4-plex buildings. She ensures all maintenance activities requested by tenants and homeowners are completed efficiently and to the highest standard. Her responsibilities include:
*Maintaining close communication with maintenance technicians and vendors to meet repair needs promptly.
*Coordinating repairs and upgrades after tenant vacates to ensure units are rent-ready and back on the market as quickly as possible
*Documenting all repairs with before-and-after photos for transparency and record keeping.
Ryan’s strong organizational skills and dedication keep these communities running smoothly, ensuring tenant satisfaction and property quality.
Personal background – Originally from Southern California, Ryan brings a background in timeshare management and owner services to her role. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in the kitchen, where her passion for cooking shines. Entertaining and feeding family and friends is Ryan’s favorite way to bring people together. Known for her positive outlook and zest for life, Ryan lives by the motto to “enjoy every second” – a mindset she brings to both her personal and professional life.
